Greetings,
A few years ago I made this pair of 6x6in paintings for a miniatures show. Painting tiny figures is an interesting challenge. In the detail shot below, the hand's width across the knuckles is only about 1/2 inch.
Here is a progress shot of the first mini, around halfway done:
And the finished painting, "Sunrise" (6x6 oil on panel, 2015):

Thanks for reading! -David
Amazing light source, I love how the glow is almost sculptural. The green/blue tones of her skin are also amazing. LOVE.
Awesome thank you, I had fun painting the backlit parts.
simply outstanding!!
l love the colour tone for them, it gives them an eery aura!
Thank you! :)
Loving the colors and the overall mood. Well done!
Thank you very much!
The colour selection is so intresting...makes me think we have caught the model in a performance - I love it. You did a great job with the hands gripping the hair, in fact the subtle muscle tone on the shoulder blades are so well done too. Upvoted and followed!
Thank you very much! :) :)
