Looking at this with a night of sleep...I would say the deity and money and being in a celebratory place seemed to be at the heart of it, and the heart, on the infamous brick wall, sort of a simple view here...but a kind of love of monetary gain, etc. Also...didn't mean to insinuate that the brick wall was the best part of the art...just that it was very well done.

The bricks were my favorite part so I thought your artistic eye was accurate there. The bricks are close to realism, while everything else in the painting is more 'painted' looking, as I see it.
Money is designed to resemble God in many ways, and is worshipped as such. 'The One', especially, is a magical device, perpetuating the spell. Now, i'm not going to act like I know exactly what the painting means, I'm just the messenger sometimes.
