Hello Steemit friends,
my name is Reiko and I'm a digital artist born in Germany a little over 11500 days ago. I stumbled across this page because, quite simply, a friend told me about it- which makes it less of a 'stumble' and more of a 'follow someones footsteps' story. But that doesn't sound as good, does it?
For the better part of the last 10 years I'm creating images now. Paintings, renderings and from time to time drawings or photobashes* - sometimes they fill me with pride, sometimes with doubt, indifference or neglect. I pay my bills with the work on (video) games like Angry Birds or Sacred, as well as some more shitty ones you might never have heard of. Apart from that, I try to create my own games. I like Lego. Guitars. Parties not so much- I don't fancy large groups or loud places- but i do like the occasional nap after feasting with friends at Pizza Hut! I consider myself a curious mind; following politics, astrophysics or simply trivia is enjoyable to me. Religious mechanisms and philosophy always spark my interest. But out of all that, and despite of the cocktail of feelings involved, painting (or in more general terms, visualisation), was always the most bewitching and beguiling joy to me.
In future, I'd like to post some of the stuff I do, as well as some shortened, but unaltered thoughts here. Above all, I hope the saturation point for "my depressing journey so far" stories, "look, I did a thing" posts as well as "This is HOW I did the thing" walkthroughs won't be reached that quickly- Steemit is pretty new after all.
Basically, if you care to stay a minute longer, you can ask me a thing or two and I'll try to answer honestly in return. My social battery tends to be rather short lived at times (a constant battle I'm unfortunately not always well prepared for)- so please bare with me if it takes some time to answer your message- or even to author the next post. Until then, have a peek on an unfinished sketch -free of context- below.

*photobashing is the visual equivalent to musical mashups (and, to be honest, it's a bit in the doghouse with some parts of the art community)
