A writer who received unusual abilities in the series "Radiant Black"

Hello!

Now I'm going to tell you about the Radiant Black. His real name is Nathan Burnett.

In Los Angeles, the driver of the company "Uber" Nathan calls the bank in order to take a loan. The employee says Burnett's loan application was rejected because of his debt-to-income ratio. The main character realizes that he already owes the bank 38,486$. He begs to give at least a couple of hundred, but they refuse him. Nathan says that he is a writer, a couple of whose stories are published on Shaky Alibi. He needs the money to work on his first novel. He's on his way to meet his agent now. The employee refuses Burnett again and hangs up. Unable to stand it, the main character is irritated by tears and tries to console himself somehow. After some time, customers come to him. Calming down, Nathan gives them a ride to their destination.

A week later, Burnett moves back to Lockport, Illinois, to live with his parents. The mother rejoices at the return of the main character, but his father Henry is not happy with him, as always. Nathan is also greeted by his childhood friend who suddenly appeared, as well as an iconoclast, Marshall, who tells him that so much is being prepared for the opening. Lockport is flourishing. The latter offers the main character to chat in the nearest bar, as in the good old days. Nathan agrees.

Several hours pass. In a bar, the main character tells a friend about a debt and an unfinished book. The novel that Nathan is writing is based on one of his best short stories. The agent, who is a big shot in the world of crime fiction, is waiting for this novel. This man made Burnett a big offer. The latter just needs to finish the book. Also, the main character tells Marshall that his parents don't even know about it, since they don't have that kind of money, and also because of Henry's opinion about them. Even beer with a price tag of 12$ angers the latter. Nathan decides to leave his friend's jokes, but suddenly changes his mind. Marshall comforts Burnett, and also says that if the latter had listened to him, he would not have been in this situation. It turns out that the reputation of this place is falling and falling. According to a friend, the main character will obviously like it in Lockport.

Later, Nathan brings Marshall to his car. The latter offers Burnett help with the book. A second later, both notice some kind of thing hanging over the railway not far from the car. After examining the thing, they realize that it is some kind of mini black hole. When the main character touches this hole, it flies into his chest and completely covers his body. Seeing his reflection on a friend's phone screen, Nathan is horrified by him. Burnett is sick. Marshall says that the main character somehow vomited through the helmet. A second later, 2 cops come to both of them - Officer Mills and Officer Josh Peters, who ask them to get off the rails. Marshall refuses and uses the First Amendment. Seeing an approaching train, Nathan accidentally says his friend's name, asking him to leave. The police, taking out their weapons, insist on leaving the rails, but Marshall again refuses. At the last moment, a frightened Burnett pushes his friend off the rails, after which the train, the cops and their car rise into the air. Both quickly realize that the main character has telekinesis and accidentally reacted by lifting everyone but a friend into the air. Marshall says they'll let the officers go if they don't arrest them. Mills refuses, but Peters quickly agrees with them. When Nathan lets the cops go, he finds out he can fly. Taking Marshall with him, Burnett flies away from here.

They stop at a water tower, where they both realize that the main character picked up the train just by thinking about it. Nathan tries to take off his helmet, but he fails. A friend advises Burnett to just think about removing the helmet and he will clean himself. It works. Both can't figure out how this thing ended up in this city. The main character condemns Marshall for what happened. They could both have been killed. Angry Nathan says he has never asked anyone for help. Calming down, Burnett explains that the worst thing in his life was that he had a chance to do something meaningful, but he wasted it. He says that the agent is not waiting for any book. The latter wanted to look at it 4 years ago, and the main character still does not have the first chapter. Because of this, everything went downhill. Now that Nathan's got these abilities, he can't screw this up either. A friend comforts Burnett, saying he won't let him screw up. These abilities can also help with writing. Both also believe that the main character is the only owner of these powers.

I hope you enjoy it.
