Hi!
Today I am going to show you my little experiment with the material polymer clay. One day I saw a video on Youtube where a girl made some cute looking things like little cats out of this material. It is some kind of formable modeling clay which you can harden in your home oven. After seeing that I took my drawings as an inspiration and made some little weird looking creatures:
These were my first tries... it was hard to get a feeling for this kind of material. The hardest part for me was the factor warmth/heat. If you have the material in your hands for a longer period of time it will get softer and harder to work with. Especially if the figures are only a few centimeters big... but it was a lot of fun to experiment and play around.
The one to the right is only a head which I put on a magnet... it looks really nice/funny when you put it on the fridge... xD
There I tried to imitate one of the cats I had seen on Youtube... I put a little freak on her back!
Another magnet...
The one to the left is the last one I made. So you can see I made some progress. My "figurative period" lastet only for about 2 or 3 months. After that I never tried to use Polymer clay again...
Here you can see them all together.
So I hope you like my little freaks and maybe I will try to make something new in the near future. Feel free to comment and ask whatever you want to know.
Thank you for your time!
bye
