It has been such a long time since i have been working with charcoal on a work like this one. These charcoal works, just like the one i am publishing here, were my key works. They were something that represented me and i spent my whole artistic life i had learning them.
They were also the works that pushed me further and i got my very first exhibition which i owe to them. I was seen because of them and because of the hard work i did through the years. Charcoal was everything i did. I was smudged with it and i had dark fingers every day. Sometimes even my whole were dark and i had my whole room smudged. I remember i was once cleaning my room after i spent around 100 hours on an extra large charcoal drawing and i was cleaning the room and washing the floor around 10 times and i had the water pitch dark. Sometimes the cleaning process itself took me hours.
After every work like that in which i invested tens of hours, i feel exhausted, mentally, because i am focusing 100 % and in every work i give a piece of me. I put my emotions into every work and i am trying my best to bring out the message i want to deliver . And this task takes almost all i have every time. Mostly mentally which is even more harder than if i would be exhausted physically. It takes me more time to heal inside in order to be able to continue or work on the next project. Sometimes i even needed days t heal up and to have the mental stability to continue and to plan new ideas for new pieces.
I also have an Ebay where it is possible to purchase some of my original drawings:
I included a link to my verification post, that all of the content posted here are done by me: https://steemit.com/art/@edgarsart/edgarsart-original-art-now-verified
