I know that there are hundreds of different artists and everyone is working in a different way, but I think that a pencil and a piece of paper has been once or twice on your working desk. I myself can not call myself a painter actually. I am and have worked usually with graphite/charcoal. Of course I am planning and i have done some works with acrylic. I will for sure do some in the near future too.
But for now i wanted to talk about the importance of having the right tools for yourself. Through the years I have learned that it is extremely important to know your tools, to know which pencil fits for you, how soft or hard it should be. Little things like that.
When i started I was not giving a lot of attention to it. That was when really learned and burned myself when I started to notice the little things. Like even the way how I was holding my pencil. Especially when I was working with charcoal. That is why in my How To Draw videos a lot of people started to get annoyed about me twisting and turning the pencil all the time. Which i did because I could get the pencil sharper, the lines thinner and it is some kind of a natural technique i learned as the time went buy. I think it is crucial to pay attention to your style to those little things, because in order to grow and not to stand at one place for a long time, development is needed.

Your are a master by now so no need for any how to videos hahah I like those mediums too except for acrylic that one is a doozy. It dries way to quick for me.

It is good to know oneself and how we can bring out the best of ourself. It is very essential to pay details to all the minutest as that can actually make the difference
