I was looking at this old piece the other day. If I recall correctly, it's one of my first digital paintings done from a photo of Los Cabos, Mexico. I was punching way above my weight, skill-wise, here. I think with some minor planning you can basically make yourself look better than you are. There's a lot to critique in this piece from 2012 or so, but I think it is better to just appreciate how far one can come.
This reminds me of a level on the game Halo 3. So it gets my upvote. Lol

Beautiful piccar, Ed.... There is something about the way you colour this that makes it feel as if it is frozen in a still moment of time .... Lovely lighting, I can feel the sun ! And that water surface is very beautiful <3 <3 <3
i think many artist can relate to the fact that when you look at your old paints, you can't help but remember and see how much you have improved xd
it really is a good feeling, like you are accomplishing a long time work xd
