Good day dear Hive Community, first of all I would like to welcome you all to my contribution and hope you had a day that was full of positive experiences! Today I decided to write something about art history and hope you can expand your knowledge.
You can see here an atmospheric and colorful oil painting made by the German painter Princess Augusta of Eulenburg (1882 - 1974) and she was born as the daughter of the count and diplomat Philipp of Eulenburg (1847 - 1921) who was a friend and confidant of the German Emperor William II (1859 - 1941) at his time. Already in her early years she aroused a great interest in art and was also influenced by her family, who supported her and visited many art houses with her and her parents also knew some artists who promoted her talent and from whom she could learn a lot. Augusta grew up very diverse and often went on trips and she spent her childhood in various places such as Vienna, Munich or Berlin and at the beginning of the 20th century, she married her husband with whom she lived together in Italy for a few years and together they had some children, but there were some problems in her marriage so that they divorced and when she was more alone again she traveled more and lived temporarily in different countries. She painted almost only in oil and was particularly influenced by landscape painting and her passion for it probably comes to light in this painting where she painted a beautiful lake landscape with a view of the mountains and she was especially influenced by pointillism. If you want to learn more about this interesting style, I can recommend this post from me here where I have already wrote more about the history and the characteristics of it.
Thanks a lot for stopping by and I hope you can learn something new about art! I used my iPhone 12 to take these pictures.
I strongly believe there is so much message that this painting is actually passing around
I’m glad to hear your opinion :)
When You see ups and downs in your life, it reflected by your work of art.
You said that well and art is a great way for many artists to express their feelings!
They must have really did a great job in this painting I must confess
I think so too!
Having a family that supports one talent and vision will go alone way in achieving it.
That’s definitely an advantage :)
Wonderful painting
True!
