"Lavander Farm in Mt Shasta"

(20 x 24 inch oil on canvas with embossed flower of life)

This Mt Shasta in Northern Califonia, a very nice place to visit it has a very positive vibe and a very beautiful and majestic place. I was so inspired to paint Mt Shasta, as i witnessed it when I travelled there last year, met some very welcoming folks, i havent fully explored the whole place yet, but you can enjoy Mt Shasta in any season you can, this painting was inspired by the lavender farms in Mt Shasta with a labyrinth. This is their website http://www.mtshastalavenderfarms.com they are usually open during spring so i guess next spring i might go for it again.

This is the labirinth in the lavander farm, picture was also taken from the website that i used.

A labyrinth offers the opportunity to walk in meditation to that place within us where the rational merges with the intuitive and the spiritual is reborn.

This painting was bought by a family member who was having suicidal thoughts die to severe depression and had to be helped, and she mentioned that when she dies she wants her ashes to be in Mt Shasta lavander farms, i asked why she was already planning that ahead of time, she was just depressed and was ready to give up. So i gave her an opportunity to give me details on the place she loves so dearly and how she wants it to look like, and i got her excited just planning the painting, and i let her wait till i finish it, even encouraged her to watch the process. Then now that she has it, im not saying that i changed her in a way, but what she always mention to me was that, whenever she has problems and staring to the abyss, she looks at this painting and remembers the excitement of the process and envisioning how the lavender smells and how it looks like, she tells me that for an instance she forgets her problem and kinda like pressing refresh button on the computer screen. Then she gets back up again and find new ways of solving her problems, or she just forgets about it as it really doesnt matter as she will not die just because of it.

Im really thankful whenever i hear those feedback, as i pray deeply for healing in any painting that i create, its kinda like blessing and showering a painting with love, peace, calmness, its a meditation process, and whatever is in your mind reflects your work. And thats how i express my thoughts through art.

Here is another painting of Mt Shasta from Siskiyou lake if you notice it has a Halo and wings like an angel.

I like this painting a certain essence around it, I get drawn through it to the mountain. Do you have a place where you sell your work then?

Hi @vibeof100monkeys Hmm i just started taking orders by the way. And im making one for someone here on steemit. Its better to have it fresh and customized according to your likes and combined with my idea. So just let me know if you are interested and i maybe able to ship it to you anywhere within the USA but you will be responsible for framing it

Sounds good i’m in the UK though. What sort of price we looking at for a A3/A2 kind of size?

Find me in steemit chat and we can discuss further how about that.

ok will do. Not sure i’m on the chat i’ll look it up :)

When you smell lavender is goes directly to the amygdala gland, the emotional warehouse in your brain. As a result, it can have a massive effect on human emotion, hence why it is widely used in aromatherapy.

I would love to hop right in that purple field and take a few big whiffs lol.

Thank you for dropping by @jakehorn87, indeed its true about that lavender scent, i use it before sleeping, it calms the mind, and smells really good!

Indeed! It helps me quite a bit as well, hence why I want to just jump in that purple field and take a long nap lol

Beautiful paintings and beautiful story :)

You Bob Ross from YouTube, The late Painter that had a TV show from the 80's?

Hi @cryptopie yes i know bob ross, actually i invested and bought alot of his brushes and those are real good quality and have been using it for 2 years without replacing it. I actually learned a lot from his videos

Yeah Bob Ross was a gem, too bad that he died relatively young.
Best regards to your works.
