Creativity is Life

in #art8 years ago (edited)

I have been doing some experimental drawing with faces lately. In the past I tended to avoid drawing people because I felt my end result really just never looked like people. Imperfection used to really bother me. If it did not look perfect I was not happy. Since starting my business and reigniting my creative side I have grown much more comfortable with imperfection, in fact I quite prefer it now.

Here is a little piece I was working on in my art journal the other day.

Wow! This is beautiful Heather. I really resonate with the look in her eyes :) Thank you for sharing art from your journal with us. Perhaps I might even share a few pieces of my own soon ~ very inspiring! Thank you again, @flowerpowerart <3

Thank you for your encouraging words. I really have not done much personal art painting until recently. I have always been crafty and artsy...but I have been doing it for an income for the past 2 years....so it is more of doing what sells then what moves me to create!

My pleasure @flowerpowerart. You are quite talented and I do hope you will be able to allow yourself continued Sacred Space to create purely for the love of creation from inspiration... Spirit has pressed upon my heart to let you know that you won't be disappointed ;)

Much Love!

Thank you. Same to you. :) I appreciate your kind, beautiful words and delicate inspirations.

Thank you :)

Wow. Very impressive. I love the organic feels of ink and color. That's really missing in digital art. You gotta be proud of your faces. This is inspiring!

Thank you @jrej I am pretty proud of this one.

I was the same! worried about imperfections all the time!
But slowly we learn that it's the process that really really matters :)

Thank you. Up voted your drawing. Very Nice.

What materials did you use? This is really good!

Watercolors, alcohol inks, white paint pen, and black pigment pen. Thank You @thepinkbyhamann

You're welcome! I have recently started experimenting with water colors, but I haven't come anywhere near this!

Really really nice!!
