The real image I took was used as background in Cinema 4d and its light and its colours determine the illumination of the virtual object, that is the digital sculpture.Here you are a digital sculpture of mine created in 3D Coat, https://3dcoat.com/home/ a very interesting software for 3d modelling similar to Zbrush in some way.
To increase the realism I then added in the rendering phase (with Red Shift Render) https://www.redshift3d.com/product an accurate control on the depth of field to better blend the real image with the image synthesis.
Many visitors present at the exhibition I held in Alberobello this summer thought they were real sculptures. That's a nice compliment!
This artwork it is a part of a large project to "populate"virtual sculpture inside real photo.In the next future I hope to have the real sculpture at the same size and at the same place!
