On a walk the other weekend I spotted these little beauties surviving in a clump on the bluffs. I was so captured by the contrast it had to be painted. To achieve the bright white of the lily I used some masking fluid at the beginning of the painting to save the white of the paper. It was super fun and exciting to peel the mask off after painting everything else to reveal the bright pop of the calla lily.
