Seeing something that no one else can see is the definition of vision. Creativity and imagination are integral parts of seeing things differently, which translates to innovation as well as success.
vision is not just about drawing; you could create new patterns by arranging items, or by thinking of different scenarios in your head. All this will come when you show courage to be simple and to try out something new.
We can all be visionaries if we are brave enough to examine our connection with this world while exploring dignity in the face of adversity and don't lose a sense of wonder. Then we might find ourselves improvising with a feeling of freedom instead of being enslaved by fear and lack of creativity.
Artists should not be so concerned with just producing things that mirror an imitation of what they see. They should cultivate their ability to transcend the beauty and simplicity of human faculties. They should live in service of that which places them in the proximity of God, with an exceptional connection to the Divine.
As it stands, this is not often a reality for many creatives due to guilt or imperfections. It seems that most artists are happy to never release works because they believe it's never good enough or because their standards are so high.
We have been brought up in a world where production is everything and it almost feels morally wrong not to overflow ourselves with quantity; especially if we care about being true-to-self creatives who operate from joy as opposed to obligation.
