JOHANN WOLFGANG VON GOETHE DIED
Goethe is the most important author of German Literature. He was also playing the piano, cello and able to speak German, English, French, Italian, Spanish, Latin, Jewish and Latin.
His work "Götz von Berlichingen" was the basic work of "Sturm und Drung" . He wrote " The sorrows of young Werter" at the age of 24, for his love Lotte. That made him world famous. European men started to wear like the character Werter. That was called Werter Fever. The effect of the book was so impressive that some young men suicied as Werter did. That was called Werter Effect. The book was banned in Leipzig, Denmark and Italy when it was found on a suicide scene of a young man in Leipzig.
He was the first man of letters who had positive approach to Islam. He read the book of Joseph Von Hammer, translation of Quran.
He had much affect on German Literature. Nietzsche respected him all his life. His skeptical behaviour to religion and German government proofs so. His poems were mostly composed in 19th century. Franz Schubert composed 80 poems of Goethe.
