RE: Quirky Paint Papers On A Rainy Saturday......

in #art11 months ago

Glad to hear the buds survived. I remember posts you've made in other years of them in bloom and they're lovely. Do they fruit?

Interesting to hear your sleep pattens have changed. I haven't experienced that. I'm a pretty poor sleeper sadly.

Keep those papers coming. 😍

I was glad the blossoms survived too, because I have not had enough time to enjoy them all I want too. They do not fruit, will, yes they do, but not in a way that humans consume. They are not native to the US, but were brought in years back by landscapers and the birds love their tiny fruits, which of course causes them to spread all over and fast. They are now considered an "invasive" species here and although it is not a law, some folks try to discourage others from planting more. I think it is too late though, because there are so many planted and wild, that there will be no stopping them I'm thinking, not that I personally want them stopped. If they land on your property accidentally and you don't like them there, you just dig them up while they are small and destroy them I guess.

I have been very VERY lucky in that I have been able to sleep well the vast majority of the time. I teasingly say that when I close my eyes, my computer shuts down. I have heard so many people talking about having trouble sleeping through a whole night and I believe that would drive me crazy if I had to deal with that constantly. I wouldn't wish it on anyone and I'm sorry that it is that way for you.

Oh ! The ARE coming. Lots more ideas to try... .but not all today... ha ha

"I teasingly say that when I close my eyes, my computer shuts down." Oh how I envy you. 😁

I'm usually OK getting to sleep but but never sleep through the night. If I've got a lot on my mind there's a good chance I won't be able to get back to sleep at all when I wake up.

I have mixed feelings about the invasive thing. Depends on the species. We have Spanish bluebells here that are wiping out our indigenous bluebells which is very sad. The native ones are beautiful with a lovely scent. But a bit like you describe your blossoms, I think it's too late to contain them now.

Looking forward to seeing more of your ideas come to fruition. 😍
