I picked up some modelling clay last week.
The packaging really should have promoted me to join the eagle clay sculpture contest that just finished.
But I am a great procrastinator.
This week is favourite cartoon character cartoon character.
I was thinking of asking the great @cornholio to sit for me or send me a pic or two.
I know he is no Fred Flintstone, Bernard Arnold "Barney" Gumble, Quagmire, Patrick Star,
Herbert Garrison,
Stimpy or Tina Belcha
But to quote the Great Cornholio himself -
I'm not Fred Flintstone but I'll Make Your Bedrock!
I am also tempted by some all time favourites and classics.
Any Hanna-Barbera, or Fleischer who made some classics like Betty Boop and Popeye the Sailor, and Superman. Or maybe my personal loves like Rafiki, Eeyore 😍
Or even Pink panther, Snoopy, Charlie Brown and peanuts friends, Monsters Inc, Adventure Time , Shrek Or anything Tim Burton!
How to choose?!
I know little blue will go with tmnt.
I could always do a leather head or ice-cream Kitty to compliment that.
But it could also be my chance to take revenge on the annoying shows that have plagued my early mornings .
Lazytown and his sports candy, Arthur, Dora the explorer, Alvin and the chipmunks, Frozen, and Bananas in pyjamas, Bing, Angela Anaconda, Bubble Bath Bay, Charlie and Lola... The list is extensive actually.
The work of an artist that artist goes by Disse86 is a great inspiration.
Like many I grew up with Disney, but I am aware of the prejudice and stereotypes that are not so subtly featured in most of the films.
Lion King, Lady and the Tramp and Dumbo, Mary Poppins for instance. My favourite childhood favourites which I still love but have to overlook sone themes which quite frankly went over my head as a kid.
I have been a little Slothicorn obsessed lately.
I might go with a unicorn farting to honour the Genesis Story.

One of @littleblue's favourite you tube watches.
This week promises to be a great week for the Clay Contest.
We all have a favourite.
Join in.
I'm a big fan of art as a means to relax and unwind.
The tactile experience of clay is a great grounding mindful activity.

I look forward to up voting and resteeming the entries.

OMG hahaha. That's so cool! I do agree with the packaging which should have been a great entry to the eagle/bird challenge but seeing as how you really bought clay to "go tactile" tells me you are in this for the long run and I couldn't be happier that you are with me in this clay art journey.
I see you have had a lot of characters to choose from. A lot of them made me reminisce my childhood as well. Aaahh I cant wait for everyone's entries and how it reflects their childhood memories. Thanks so much @girlbeforemirror!
I just looked up Bob. He reminds me a bit of a community access show I used to watch with my big Kid, when they were a preschooler. We would paint along with Ken Harris. He believed everyone could paint with oils.
@azurejasper sent him an email about our kids enthusiasm for the show and Ken posted us signed dvds. Thanks for reminding me about that.

That's awesome, I really like Bob Ross's philosophy and it just radiated out of him while he was painting and talking. He's a legend in the U.S. I'll have to check out Ken Harris.
Loved watching that guy!
"No mistakes, just happy little accidents"
His voice is so soothing
Can't wait to see what you come up with!
Wish I had time to take part (grr!)
I keep telling my bestie to join,
she's going in full clay-modus ever since she
found fimo clay,
but Steemit seems a step to far still
This looks great. I will put my thinking cap on, last week was a fun start.
Awesome, Upvoted, follow and resteem
Thanks for the support 😊
Stop procrastinating and sculpt one of the characters you listed, anything except of rafiki should be easy to start. For him I would use Super Sculpey or other polymer clay instead of this air drying crumbly stuff. Good luck and have fun!
