If i remember correctly from previous posts, you studied at the Florence Academy of Art right? Did you go to Florence or New York?
I'm trying to get to FAA or Angel Acadmey at some stage but it's not easy to fund for 3 years coming from Australia.
I need to weigh up the cost vs the potential to earn a living afterwards. The skills i can learn and practise on as i am now but it's a slow process. Instead of a couple hours a week when i have some free time, going to 40+ hours a week intensive would mean a rapid increase in skill level - but it's the part after completing the course i think i need more understanding of and what impact it has on establishing a career.
Currently my CV is 'i earned $3 on Steemit' which i don't feel qualifies as being an 'Artist' and it does have an impact on me entering competitions or applying for grants when there's no 'pedigree' or lineage of training to back up my work.
Where would you be today as an Artist if you didn't go to FAA? How did it change, inform or improve your artistic endeavours afterwards?
