This here beast is Trico from The Last Guardian, a magnificent game, that I fully recommend.
The process for this painting is quite simple.
First- you must obtain a cat or cat like object
If there are no cats within your immediate vicinity, I suggest looking on top of keyboards or under curtains
Do be careful, as all cats can smell fear
Have your soon to be beast strike a daring pose!Proceed by sketching the beastSplash a little bit of colour in there, make em pretty!Continue to refine the creature that was once your cat. You don't need to be detailed with the wings and background, as they are not the main focal point. also I suck at wings.I've gone ahead and cleaned up the colours a bit, along with adjusting the canvas size. The beast demands more space!Lookin fine, Trico. I honestly don't know what else to do, so I've played with the colours to create a warmer feeling, and added the little boy from the game. It felt appropriate. The above picture has a light amount of blur, for extra depth.
The below picture does not have the blur.I'm fairly happy with the end product, I would've liked to darken up his belly a bit and to do some general cleaning, BUT I've run out of coffee and my neck is sore.
Remember to reward your models with pats
If anyone has recomendations/requests for future drawings, I'm always ready and willing!
thank you
