This morning I got the bright idea that the vets community on STEEM needs a new image. Not so much a logo but more of a image folks can re-purpose as a wallpaper, a post graphic, etc.
So I thought "who do I know who draws some sickass amazing shit?"
@Kryptik ofc. Sure we all know and love him for his dick picks, but a man's gotta evolve past that at some point right?
"Thanks so much for serving," says @Kryptik
It turned out that his brother is a veteran and the cause is pretty close to his heart. He's also a pretty solid guy all around. If you like the art go ahead and send him a small tip in the wallet.
The image above depicts veterans pre and post transitioning from a soldier into a Steemian. Sitting there writing posts instead of lobbing grenades. You know how it goes.

Maybe I don't get this because I wasn't Army...all the poses make sense except the saxophone one. A saxophone among the guns and grenades?🤔 can someone please enlighten me?
That's a member after leaving the military.
Ahhh ok thanks! I was kind of going around the circle like it was an Army man progression in order. Haha!
@kryptik is a genius, these are amazing! I also send my thanks to all of you vets for serving. all the love... xoxo, b.
You are born as a civilian, you live the military life, you retire from the military to live as a civilian.
It is the evolution of every good soldier. Pity that some do not manage to play the saxophone (fallen in battle) honor them.
Reminds me of the package of green army men we used to play with as kids
that logo looks great
Awesome! We all played with little green plastic army men at some point.
Hi @gultyparties, I just stopped back to let you know your post was one of my favourite reads and I included it in my Steemit Ramble. You can read what I wrote about your post here.

Excellent work, @kryptik. I like the fact that they sort of harken back to the play army men.
Amazing images! (and quite like the toys that nearly crippled me on the way to the bathroom in the middle of the night) It would be awesome if all vets got to transition into civilian life seemlessly :)
like legos! LOL how many toes did i almost lose to them???
and yes - it would be so good if there was more help to the veterans transitioning back :(
I like these. I use to have little toy soldiers just like them.
They brought me right back to my childhood too! I didn't play with them - but my brother did! They were all over the house! hahahaha
😊
An art treasure! That's a really cool drawing @kryptik! I like the soldier transformation to a Steemian musician or just someone who's in front of the computer all day to create content or be present in discord or chat. But is the soldier costume still a must since being in Steemit feels like a battle sometimes? :D
I also used to play with green soldier plastic toys like that because of my brother, when we were really young. I don't see these kind of toy anymore.
@wanderlass.... ye be usin' the word TREASURE in yer comment on this TREASURE HUNT??? argggggh methinks ye be a smart pirate!!!!!
take this extra pirate's booty and slip it into yer boot! tip! simple :)
Hi @wanderlass! You have received 0.1 SBD tip from @dreemsteem!
That plastic soldier in the upper left is a drone operator. The most deadly of the bunch! @ironshield
Reminds me of 'Toy Story'. Did he draw that free hand or is it a digital creation?
Drew it on his iPad I think. No idea how.
Great post. Though i got to say, why i do support people getting out of the army, i am not really supportive of choosing the army as a job in the first place. Having "war" as a career goal in life seems wrong in a lot of ways.
There's a lot of people who make the military their career and have as much to do with "war" as an average civilian that pays his taxes or votes for politicians. Up here in Canada we've got Rangers up north, they deal with northern emergencies, rescues, etc. I had a buddy before who spent most of his career providing water purification equipment/knowhow to areas of the world where drinking water resembles toxic waste. What you see on TV is largely hand-picked bullshit.
Yes, they do other things too, but that is not their main purpose and usually these things should be covered by disaster response organisations that are ONLY focused on peace. That said, i am not saying you must think the same way i do - not at all. I'm saying: i support anyone who stays as far away from war as possible - and military is an organisation that as war as it's main focus. Billions of dollars are mostly not spend on preventing natural disasters, they are spend on weapons to kill people. And i don't like that - that's all i am saying. Not arguing with you about what you have to think or believe at all.
btw.: your very own post shows a person shooting guns and throwing grenades - so, yes, that is part of war, not of disaster rescue. Just saying.
I don't know much about the military but I do think this image is a fantastic representation for a veterans group. Like others I enjoy the nod towards the army men toys.
