Once upon a time, I had the idea to make something completely original. I searched Pinterest for "mirror art" as I wasn't interested in traditional mediums like painting or drawing. The search results showed projects where one could take the mirror apart and adhere old photos to the inside of the glass after removing some of the silver backing. After a few practice rounds, I put together the above piece.
I wanted the viewer to be able to "go back in time" when they saw their present reflection. This piece pictures photos from early wars, soldiers, and a vintage couple at the top center. It's neat how one can see themselves in the mirror in the present, while also seeing the people from the past that seem to be"looking" at them.
