Today, I'll show you the step by step of my last illustration. I drew it for the Character Design Challenge of Octobre. The theme was "Ghosts and Poltergeists"

Aujourd'hui, je vais vous montrer un step by step de ma dernière illustration. Je l'ai réalisée il y a une quinzaine de jours pour le Character Design Challenge d'octobre, dont le thème était "Fantômes et Poltergeists".

I began with a sketch, and added details. For this illustration, I drew all with Photoshop, with the help of a foto for the hands :-). No pencil...
J'ai démarré d'un croquis, juste une base pour la suite. Puis j'ai ajouté les détails, avec l'aide d'une référence photo pour les mains :-). J'ai fait cette illu directement sur Photoshop, sans passer par un crayonné...
I first put flat colors, to have a general color range. Then, I made the face, and the volumes of the body, the dress and the hair...
Je suis ensuite passée à la mise en couleur, mon étape préférée :-)
J'ai commencé par poser des aplats de couleur, pour donner le ton général, puis j'ai détaillé le visage, et ensuite ébauché les volumes du corps, du visage et de la coiffure.

She is a beautiful ghost! Other than her face which is pretty, I like the triangle shape of her gown and her hands' pose.
