The three main characters are the engineering students who share a room in a dormitory building at the college. While Farhan and Raju are ordinary students from moderate background. Rancho is the protagonist of the film, he is from a rich family and a very intelligent student in the college. Farhan wants to become a wildlife photographer, but his wants to fulfil father’s wish and has joined in the college of engineering. Raju is a poor student from a poverty family which is his father was suffering from a disease, he can’t afford to take care his father, mother and sister. He wants to change his family fate, so he work towards to the degree because he wants his family’s financial situation get better. Three of them became best friends in their study life and they shared their dream, emotion and strive to care each other very much. In this film was showing out the issues in negative education will destroyed their family relationship. Besides, the three main character have their own hobby or passion will become their profession. So, they will be able to initiate to excellence life.
At the time, Mr. Viru was giving a speech of the competition in his college. He took out a pen and he says the pen is given by his director of the institute when he was an excellence student. When Mr. Viru told to his students who was the one of the excellence student will obtain the pen from him. After the speech, Rancho was put up his hand and asks Mr. Viru the pencil instead of pen and can save the cost. Mr. Viru after listen Rancho asked the question, but he could not answer it and he became nervous because he felt very shame in front of his students.
Five years later, Farhan is a successful wildlife photographer, Raju is settled in a comfortable lifestyle with a corporate job and wife, and Chatur is vice president of a reputed corporation in the United States. None of them have heard from Rancho since graduation. Farhan is boarding a flight, when he suddenly receives a call from Chatur claiming that he has found Rancho. He picks up Raju and they join Chatur who reveals that Rancho is in Shimla .
