Hi steemians sharing the process for a recent watercolor painting with you of an old man.
Process
General pencil outline to begin with.
I find starting with the skin tone best with watercolors. I used a lot of water to begin with to spread the paint over the face.
More tones added for definition of face structure.
Final piece overall
Filter used here to bring out the tones and contrast in the subject.
I really like it! It looks a little different than 'normal' watercolors, but that's definitely not what needs a change here. It gives more of a unique feel!
