Hi, guys!:)
Here I continue my watercolor research, though I still make it too saturated. Today I decided to draw a simple pattern to concentrate only on splashes, to understand what doesn't work for me. After a short pause I will continue this work to find out what went wrong, it seems to me that I definitely have to work less saturated at the edges, so in next art I'll try to do that. Plus I have this fear that I'm afraid to spoil ink layer with too saturated watercolor layer, and I definitely should get rid of it:)
And the process:
I wish you all the best and will be happy if you'll support me with vote:)
Love, Inber
But... your post is good... and nice... and I do want to thank you for sharing... please don't hit me with your ban hammer :)
Nice nails! I think it was a really nice touch to have your finger(tips) in the shot holding the pen/brush. It really made me feel like I got to be at your side as you were creating this piece. I love the way the colors blend and swirl together here, not sure exactly what you are referring to as far as the over saturation at the edges but from my vantage point it is quite lovely. Keep it up! LOL
Ha-ha, thank you:) It's just - what you see 10 comments of such type under every post it gets really annoying. I'm happy to hear that you like my art:)
Is it possible to do the ink layer last instead of first if you're worried about accidentally washing it out? Sorry if it's a stupid question, I'm pretty much exclusively a digital artist! XD
It may have looked a bit nicer if you fadedout the edges, but there is definitely nothing too wrong with it as it is :)
I answer such question all the time:) And the answer is no. There are two types of ink - water soluble and water resistant. You can take the second one to the bath if you wish without spoiling it:)
There is a multi-dimensionality to this work that transcends the paper it is created on! Call me enlightened!
very good art @inber
The colors blue, indigo and turquoise come alive in the watery spots. Good work
Really a nice piece, @inber ! I love the shades of colors that yu used and it reminds me the future, the sci-fi, the new worlds that are waiting to be discovered! Nice sensation ^_^
Wow, I love the design. Working wet in wet I think is a lot of fun, I want to do some more practice of that too! Great job
Some may think it looks better not being less saturated on the edges. This could fall into personal preference.
I think you did a great job though. I have never thought of or seen something like this. Pretty neat piece of art I must say.
Nice work! I like the splash effect a lot
