Silent blog from war zone: endless days in ceramics workshop

in #art2 years ago

Hi, guys!

For the last few days, I have had absolutely no time to write blogs, because most of my time was devoted to working in a ceramics workshop, and when I came home, I had absolutely no energy for anything else.

At the moment I have 7 finished sculptures, which is a little less than a week. It's a lot and I'm very pleased with the results. Of course, I think with horror of the day when it will be time to frost them. Especially my last sculpture, which I will show you today.

Initially, I planned to mold a high lighthouse, but when I realized that it would not be possible to make it by simply rolling out a clay layer and connecting it, I abruptly lost interest in the project. I wanted it to be about 50 centimeters tall, which is quite a lot. Therefore, in the process of folding the form of harnesses, I quickly changed the plan and settled on a pot-bellied house.

I added pumpkins and a well around the perimeter. I can already imagine how much effort it will cost to make the frosting for him. But I hope I can do it :)
