Hi, guys!
Yesterday it so happened that I've visited an art supplies store, bought some new, so today I decided to talk a bit about what markers and other mediums I use for all my recent artworks.
My absolute favorites are copic markers. But recently I also bought a few by Windsor and Newton, so let's compare them:
I use "Copic sketch", as for me they have the most convenient tips. You see that in Windsor version the main tip is much smaller, and it's much less flexible. It already ruined a bit, while copic markers has unkillable tips. But anyway replaceable, so if one day it will get too bad I can easily put there a new one without buying a new marker.
This is the opposite side of both markers. I yet never used the wide tip of Windsor, but I'm sure it also will ruin pretty quickly. I use the wide tip of copic to cover big surfaces.
The biggest advantage of copic markers is that EVERYTHING is replaceable. You don't have to buy a new marker, you can just buy a refiller, and refill it up to 10 times. So, despite the fact that copics are the most expensive ones, they actally are cheaper because of this system. You buy your marker only once.
And this is with what I make line art. As for me Faber Castell is the best for it:)
I wish you all the best and will be happy if you'll support me with vote:)
Love, Inber
wonderful! i've been thinking about getting started with markers for some of my art but there are so many out there that i've not really known where to start. This has given me some useful tips (pardon the pun), thanks @inber
Happy to hear that my post helper you a bit:) Copics really are the best and they worth their price. Plus they're super good at blending colors. But make sure you use special paper for markers, it will make your markers live much longer:)
Thank you! What paper do you use @inber?
