Art installation “Support” by Lorenzo Quinn in Venice is a powerful visual statement of the impact of climate change and rising sea levels on the historic city. “According to some scientists, the Mediterranean is set to rise by five feet by the end of the century, meaning the Floating City could be almost entirely submerged by as early as 2100”. Quinn’s installation illustrates the problem perfectly and symbolises the fact that we have the power to slow down the process detrimental not just for Venice.
