It's Easter Sunday and I am in a hurry....LOL..... Me and Hurry don't get along too well.
My 90 year old Mom had decided last year that she was no longer up to having a huge house full of people for the holidays, which was ok and totally understandable. She still loved having everyone there, but even though a lot of us helped bring in the food and the such, she always still did way too much and was worn out by the time the event took place.
Last weekend she told me she was not having a crowd in. By Friday, she told me she was making chicken pie and green beans for she and I to have for lunch today, so I told her I would bring a couple of things to go with it. It was only she and I, because I usually go out on Sundays anyway and although I thought one of my other Sibs would invite her to whatever family Easter they were having, turns out nobody did. (Turns out, nobody was having a big Easter celebration, because of various reasons, so there wasn't anything to invite her too)

Now I had all my ducks in a row about what I wanted to do for the day yesterday. I worked OT for my job till noon, went out to do some errands I wanted to get done, stopped and got a shrimp and flounder meal on the way home, sat down, put my feet up and fed myself. It was late afternoon and I was hungry!
I saw my Mom had called while I was gone. Yes, I had left my phone at home accidently, which nearly never happens. She had not left a message though, so after I ate, I gave her a call to see what was up.
Turns out, what was up was that during the day, she had invited my brother and his wife out, thinking they would already have plans.... but they didn't. She had left a message or sent an email, but before he answered her, she had called my younger sister, whose renegade son keeps her family in turmoil half the time and somehow through their conversation, all of the sudden, my sister is coming too and possibly her whole family (6 & 1/2 people)....LOL!! So Mom was happy and real excited, because even though she had said she wasn't doing it, she didn't like the idea of not having a celebration at all, so..... well.... you see.
She and I are the only ones doing the food.... you get that, right ??? Now... late in the day....the day before the meal..... she has invited more people. I had previously had my day planned with the appropriate amount of time for what I needed to do on the original plan, but now I needed to do more and I didn't plan in the time. I am used to doing way more when it is a big family gathering, but I normally know before supper time the night before. LOLOLOLOL.....
So, here I am posting, JUST like I planned, even though I should have skipped it to fit in the extra time I need to create the extra food. I am being stubborn though and not letting it stop me. Just like I didn't let it stop me from taking my time and enjoying creating my Easter art till late into the night. I was refusing to let myself be robbed of doing those things I really wanted to do.
I did expect to include more photos of other things and tell other stories, but those will have to wait now. I know, I know, it's not a big deal in the big scheme of life, but it has caused me to be in a hurry this morning and.....
... Me and Hurry don't get along too well.
😂
I hope everyone has a lovely day.... and you don't have to hurry about anything.
Happy Easter!
Love You!

Lovely artwork here....Happy to see the Cross in Bleu as it seems full of Hope/Confidence and it is...but not without a price which you demonstrated with the red Crown of Thorns....so much is there....Thank you!
Here's hoping you do have a lovely Easter day.
Kindest Regards,

Hi!
The older I get, the less and less me and Hurry get along. 😄
"I'm on a different clock" ....I like that!
Thank You! ...yes the price! The price of blood, that pools in the shape of a heart at the bottom of the cross. Such a powerful love!
I'm still hurrying a little. I'll have time to adjust (I hope) once I am in the car and on my way. It will be fun. The food is done and now it is time to try to get myself presentable....LOL....
Thanks for stopping over. :)
Oh, so when your mom doesn't want a big celebration, it happens that it is a big one 😂 haha
Enjoy the day @jacey.boldart, Happy Easter and the art looks fabulous 😉
Yes! .... and if the plan is made halfway through the day before... no worries! LOL
Thank you !... and I hope you enjoy your day as well.
Less planning - less time for stress 😂
For somebody!
It would have been no stress for me if I had known in advance.
