Drawing Animals With Graphite Pencils

Hello everyone! My art sharing today is my new piece. My friend is a photographer and he took amazing pictures of this tiger. I am drawing it now.

Process

The materials are:

3b, 5b and 7b graphite pencil
Kneaded eraser
Mechanical eraser
Textured paper/sketch pad

Instructions

Start with a 3b pencil for and lightly shad the nose.
Darken sides and outline with a 5b pencil.
Use a kneaded eraser to add highlights to create a 3D effect.
Use 7b to create shadow.
Smudge and redraw to emphasize details.

Creating a comparison picture of reference vs. drawing helps you determine the differences which you can still adjust. I see where I went wrong. Can you?
