I have an active dislike for most modern art. Too much of it strikes me as being bereft of inherent meaning, and more reliant on the artists ability to BS the art community with a grandiose statement. technical skill seems too often set aside as a matter of merit in the insular art "community," and is instead replaced with self-aggrandizing sophistry.

Not all of modern art pieces are skill-less, that's why I find it pleasing. You just have to know where to look.
