You should get some Bismuth metal to play with. It melts at 160 degrees F.

Bismuth is the main ingredient in pepto bismal. They have it on Ebay.
It will melt in hot coffee, and you just pour it into the form. When it cools, it looks like pewter

No, a lot of model railroad accessories are made with Bismuth. Casting is easy, and the parts look like expensive castings!
