Sketching the "BANOG" or Brahminy Kite

in #art7 years ago

As I was looking at the papers a few days ago, I came across a picture of a raptor that looks so mighty. It is called "Banog" in our language. I didn't know what it is called in English, so I asked help from my daughter @tegoshei to search it. According to Wildlife Philippines, it is called Brahminy Kite in English. This raptor is usually medium in size and are commonly seen in South East Asia.

According to the same source, the name "Banog" came from the local word "Tabanog" which means Kite in English. I think it's rather interesting to learn something about these raptors and other animals as well. Anyway, I'm going to share my sketching process below as well. I hope you enjoy it. Before that, here's the "Banog".

Here is the PROCESS:

At first, I sketched it using pencil on my sketch pad starting from the eye, beak and head.

Next is tracing it with pen for the artline and erasing the pencil sketch.

Now that I finished my pen outline, I got a black colored pencil to add details to the drawing.

Finally, I attached my username on the artwork or sketch.
