In the spirit of @artwatch drawing challenge from last week we continue the amazing competition of movie drawing. This week, the Army of Darkness
Last Week's Drawing
ARTWATCH DRAWING - The Ring
A believe that at one point we had that shitty movie called the ring, classic tale of one emo-chick with an obsession and passion for purchasing excessive amounts of mascara while completely ignoring her worsening seborrheic eczema condition all the while living in the woods re-watching old episodes of Friends
JIMDRAW DRAWING - Blade Runner 2049
The i chose to draw a scene from Blade Runner 2049. A tale of how shitty the World is going to get while we comfort ourselves with very understanding and loving hot chick ai programs. Think of Alexa but x1000
THE NEXT MOVIE! - The Army of Darkness
I feel want to go in the direction of nonsense. I have chosen the 1993 film with Bruce Campbell, The Army of Darkness!
A tale of one man taken from 20th century America and deposited in what looks to be like 13th century England but set in the Californian desert. I am thinking the budget did not stretch as far as to perhaps go to England to film this crap. However a fun film!
THE POSTER TO DRAW
RULES.
- You have 40 Minutes to draw your interpretation of this amazingly old school painted poster for the movie.
- Use the #justspeed and I will keep an eye out for your creations.
Back in the days before Photoshop there where limited options as to creating a movie poster. While Photoshop was in its early days back in the 90s the studio decided to give the movie a good old fashioned painted movie poster and not do some of those truly awful crappy Photoshop posters that swept away the old school illustrators back in the day.
PRIZE
Nothing, you money grubbers.
Groovy! This movie inspired most of Duke Nukems lines, and the chainsaw pickup. Sam Raimi's finest work. Hope you get some cool entries,
Hey, you stole my line - you! Grr
You're the good you me, I'm the bad me you.
Ok - I aint gonna lie - 40 minutes... yeah its not pretty

Did you do the challenge too? Ha ha
I will be back in a couple days with a new challenge for you. Prepare yourself.
I did not no! Perhaps I will give it a bash before time runs out! Very good by the way I predict that mine might possibly 20% of the quality of this. I see how you draw to, no fannying around as I normally do. A art teacher once told me that I tickle my drawings.
Bruce Campbell is my spirit animal!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
FUCK YES!
Challenge accepted
Hail to the king, baby.
I saw this movie terrified as a 13 year old, then when he started doing this shit it was the ultimate pay-off. A good lesson for groovy and goofy screenplay writers.
You have no idea how much I love Bruce. Your challenge is probably gonna be HR's opportunity to really write out a good article for a change.
I was sad the TV show (that was just made) was just complete bollocks by the end. I mean the same premise was there but it went pretty ADD after a while.
Here is my entry! Please note that I think the expression on the face is not quite correct but hey-ho!
kindly follow back and upvote my posts please....
I shall take look.
This is my boomstick!! I absolutely love this movie and the rest of the Evil Dead movies, definitely a few of my favorites!! I wish I had the talent to do this, because i certainly would partake, but I will enjoy seeing everyone's submissions. Good luck everyone!!
I can draw, it takes me a long time. I cannot draw quickly which is why I am doing this. I encourage you to enter regardless of your skill level, 'tis what steemit is all about. If you do not, face Ash's boomstick! mohahahahaha.
Lol!!! You better watch!! I'll swallow your soul!!! maniacal laugh ..... I'm more of a writer but I have dabbled in drawing... especially lettering. I'll play with the title and see if I can come up with something worth sharing. Thank you for the encouragement, its so nice when someone pushes you to do something a little different and out of your comfort zone.
It really is just me and @jimdraw playing tag right now. So I encourage you to try. This challenge is about improving - there is no prize besides your own improved skills as an artist.
Sit down for 40 minutes and just doodle army of darkness stuff
You could practice your penmanship even just by fooling around with the tittle of the movie or something like that. Once you get started it might feel uncomfortable, but work and gaining skills should never feel completely comfortable. I hope you consider getting in on a little creative tag
I definitely appreciate the encouragement, and I will give it a shot... I may not be able to draw faces but my lettering is pretty good, so, I can give it a shot, I'll try to get that to you as soon as I am able to sit down and play. Thank you so much!!
@jimdraw and @artwatch, you guys are going to have to forgive me for not being able to submit something. I am a huge horror fan, so if you ever decide to put out another horror related challenge, I will come up with something to submit. Incredible job on the drawings!!
