Things with Faces 17

Drawing on sand has become one of my favorite ways to draw. Yes, the art only lasts for a short time, but the experience and physical activity of this act is very refreshing. This sand sketch of a woman in a cap is one of my larger shoreline art projects. It is a drawing of my wife at the beach in Malibu, California.

To give you a sense of how large this sand art was, here is a photo of me sitting by the drawing. My wife wrote eloquently about this piece of art too.

Over time I may post more sand art here in my things with faces series. After all, when a person draws a face on sand, now that beach becomes a thing with a face. I have seen a lot of sand sculptures, but not many other sand drawings. So if you come across any, or make some yourself, feel free to share them with me.
