While I think,
that @mrslauren s pixelart is impressive and smooth,
and
that @luja s pixelart carries the soul of patriotism,
I think I will go with @archerized s pixelart.
While it may not have the strongest impression at first, like the two other great pixelarts,
or has the smoothest animations,
it carries the story of a young boy,
A story, in which he wishes to reunite with his father,
A wish that may
or may neverbecome true in the future.Nonetheless I wish all participants my best wishes and that they have fun with this contest, so that they may be rewarded with a great experience!

They're all great. I'm going for @mslauren because that sundown is so mesmerizing. And Her foreworks are the best. Kudos to @archerizes & @luja though.
While I have the mike, might I suggest a tiered winner system for future PAWs. Something like 60 % for 1st 30% 2nd and 10 % 3rd ?! Or somewhere along the lines. That way it wouldn't leave the excellent runners up empty handed and rewards them for their efforts too ... just a suggestion.

The transition from sunset to night that mrslauren did was fantastic and the whole horse animation that luja did was amazing too, but I'm afraid I'll have to go for @archerized's entry because like others have said here, it tells a story. The story is the soul of gif and it makes you wonder about the boy and his life.
My vote goes for @luja. Very fluid animation and loved the horse and flag animation.
top one for the steemit shoutout but I liked the bottom one a lot as well.. they were all good though, baaaah! Great contest man. Keep up the good work!

My vote goes to the middle entry by @archerized and here's why. It's a story, something which I have seen rarely in different pixel art contests around the interwebs. It's almost a "short film" instead of a gif because it establishes a world, a world which we can populate with our imagination. In which war is that child's father fighting in? Will he ever be back?
It kinda paints the horrors of war, not the ones on the battlefield, but the ones back home.
