Hello there,
Here's a little trip back down memory lane. I made these in 2011 as I was working on the story for my first comic.
Can you imagine? It was before I knew webcomics existed!
I had pretty much all the characters figured out at this point. I did stick to this original design. This is how they turned out...
I also kept some of the thumbnail pages. Some scenes I had in mind at the time compared to the final version.
We can see the character of David planned in this scene even though he would not be eventually.
Here the scene originally took place in a bar, but I switched to a back alley setting which was more fitting because of the dogs.
Didn't end up exactly the same... but the idea is there.
At that point, I was probably missing large portions of the plot. It did came into place a few months later.
I found these notepad doodles as I was sorting out old paperwork, back at my parents'. That's a good feeling to look back at the progression of a project. So much has been accomplished.
So little left to do in comparison.
Anyway... Time for me to go.
Please consider supporting the printing of "Shades Of Men".
Books and art commissions for the taking!
See you on the other side,
jrej

Hola @atales3. Mi español es muy malo pero intentaré contestarte. Empecé a dibujar tradicionalmente, con colores en photoshop. Al final del capítulo 2 cambié a todo digital con Artstudio en el Ipad.
Hope you will get funding, @jrej ! Comicking is really a lot of work !
