I have always wanted a painting commissioned of Benkei, a famous hero in Japanese legend. He was a hulking figure and a bodyguard to a royal samurai. When another army tried to capture his samurai boss, he stood on a bridge and beat anyone who tried to approach him to death. Legend has it that everyone was afraid to go near him so they all stood back and fired arrows at him. The legend says he died standing. heres a modern recreation of him
This is actually a picture I took when I visited New Orleans to help after Hurricane Katrina. This is actually from the 9th ward, which was one of the poorest areas and also the most damaged by the hurricane. While my family and a team of others were able to help with demolition and construction, this place was unable to be started on due to health risks.
I would love if you could add your own artistic flair to the piece and hope that you could incorporate the fleur de li New Orleans is known for along with the dates that Hurricane Katrina encompassed.
(I also responded to your e-mail, so whenever you get the chance to work through your busy schedule, I'd love to hear from you and hash something out).
Wow, you are so talented! Have I told you that I'm your fan?

Love your painting!!!!
Very beautiful. Bravissimo maestro!!!!
I think you should look in a mirror and make a masterpiece of the masterpiece you see in the reflection.
I agree. Your work is amazing and I'd love to see how you'd portray yourself!
Very beautiful paintings.love it. keep sharing with us @katecloud
I know it would look kind of Bob Rossy, but I just love nature. This is a photo I took with my Cannon EOS rebel t5 in the Beartooth pass HWY in NE Yellowstone Park. Such amazing land.... Nice art! I like your "happy little elk" Keep it up!
Not sure if either of these would be suitable:
Amazing artwork. You're talented asf! This is a photo of my mum when she was a teenager. I was just mentioning it to another person then saw your post. She passed away 3 years and a week ago from a brain tumour sadly.
Your Dark stuff is Fab your light stuff is even Fab'er! What's your favourite side dark or light? Loving the Horse, would be interesting to hear what inspires your process and the mechanics of your art ( if that is not too plebian way to describe the process). Keep on Drawing in the free world, to paraphase Neil Young

This was taken by a friend of mine @justyna , we tried to contrast the ridiculous ginger beard with purple lavender, I was told to wear white.
Also... there appears to be lavender in the pipe... this however was not smoked :P
Thanks @katecloud
Two lovers, blessed by the elements, making love on the earth, in a gentle rain, in the open air, by a small fire. If I had the skill, I'd paint it myself. Perhaps you could take the challenge...
Love your artwork! Very talented!
Hey Kate.
You have an extraordinary talent and are truly gifted in what you do. I was meaning to write an article on my beloved cat this week but I saw you post so you helped me come up with a good idea.
His name was Pom and he passed away from cancer aged 8 around 2 months ago. I was shattered, as I got him from our neighbours litter when he was only 8 weeks old. He was my little soulmate and I miss him deeply.
So, I would be very grateful if you could please draw a special keepsake for me. I understand this is a money making platform, but this gesture from my point of view would be priceless.
One photo I absolutely treasure is one when he was just 8 weeks so again, please consider it if possible.
Thank you, Kate.
