Halloween ink +colored pencil art

in #art6 years ago

Hello great Athenians, today I'm gonna show you my ink+ colored pencils Halloween drawing. It's the season.
In the art Is an old lady in long purple and red robe, holding in his hands her sorcery stick and a lantern as well and she's standing right in front of a giant pumpkin.. Halloween stuffs.. 🎃
I was inspired by the hold lady In the Disney's animation Tangled so I added some little features like the stick and the lantern..those ain't for normal people. IMG_20181014_185336_994.jpg

Process shots.
I first lightly sketch out the art with a 2B pencil, that provide a fainter sketch so you might barely see the sketch

Then I go on to make outlines on the art with an avanti ink pen,its the kind of a liner I was able to get around me, I made out out lines faintly and carefully on and also hatch out shadow areas.

Next, I starting adding colors on the stalk of the pumpkin, there I blended emerald and grass color, thereby living portions that will receive the effect of the light from the shinning bulb on the stick.

After then I build colors on the pumpkin allowing light fall on it from the left part of the art..

Now I got to give the old lady an outfit, most senior witches(lol) are seen in either black kid purple(my little nephew who is into Disney animations helped out here) with the purple pencil I shade giving chance for, highlights and shadows. IMG_20181014_185443_875.jpg

In this last stage, I tried as much as possible to work on the sorcery charms and lantern and also not forgetting the red part of the robe.
Additional, I gave the walking stick a little black out and further did round up shading on the robe, lantern, stick, face, show and the lonely grass around. My colored pencil are dry that's more reason my art appears like that.. I hope to grow more in the art and on here so I can equip myself with some quality tools..
