Icy and Sot continue to raise the mark in Street Graffiti Art
The picture above compliments of Pixaby is from 2012 in Tabriz, Iran not far from where graffiti artists Icy and Sot grew up. Icy and Sot left Iran to come to Brooklyn, New York over 5 years ago and have literally taken the art world by storm. In mid 2014 Icy and Sot teamed up with 1xRun - to produce several limited edition print runs of different stencil graffiti artworks by the duo. Using the popularity of 1xRun and its diverse art collector base, Icy and Sot were known across the states and the buzz grew louder and louder.
Limited edition print run by Icy and Sot retail for upwards of $100-200 when released and once the edition is sold out - which usually occurs within minutes - their art prints multiply in value instantly. As of recent, the Iran born artist duo sold an original for close to $30,000 - a feat not easily accomplished by many urban street artists.
