Who is @malrun

Hello my fellow steemian, This is my first post after exploring steemit around 1month. Introducing myself @malrun (nur akmal malrun) from Malaysia. Im really excited to finally be posting here. Thanks to @sireh for completing my questions about steemit last week. I am full time graphic artist and the director for my new creative platform dropart.xyz

Art and Design

Has just been 5 years in creative industry, I start from printing production, agency and now on creative technology environment. To gain experience, i just start as a designer on a creative printing production for just 1 years. I start study the process of printing production and some technical print engineering and yes! its a lot of basic knowledge that designer must know. After that i start workout as a partime agency design and freelancer about 6 month after dropout my first business😢

I continue my passion after i met my previous customer from the production i just left and introduce me to technology business. He just offer me to be apart of their theme to design some material. 3 years as graphic artist on technology field. I DISCOVER SOMETHING..

DROPART.XYZ

Every designer has a dream to be an icon or influencer, like others industries, even football, chef, extream games has their icon. The idea to build a platform start after my 1st project that need me to discover about codes.

No im not write the code 😜, i just start to discuss my idea to my internship staff and there are interested to help me build the platform.

Problem statement.

In Malaysia, we have a lot of brutal talent that never been exposed. Some of them are just so comfortable and others are struggling to survive. Artist and designer now depends on social media to expose their talent. Back to 90th, Street artist, gallery and the community is a unique circle, but know, everyone can be an artist just skecth and post on their social media. Good artist must compete with others famous and must learn to market their self. But most of artist is an introvert or not to interested to expose their self compare to others. When they post their work to social media, only thier circle of friends can see their post. Lack of self branding make artist is hard to expose. So i build a platform that transparent an can expose everything.

Its like a design version of 9gag. everything post can be seen on fresh wall. i also put some features that artist need like information and highlight space and extra features on development. After 1 years live on trial period , this platform juts lunch on last 6 January.
Now we have around 2000+- artwork form Malaysian artist. On the starting point, i just try some categories (graphic, fine art, fashion, photography and architecture) and now we are upgrading new categories every month. The news category now is toys, street art and industrial design.
