Hi mates, in my previous post you could read about linocut technique. If you didn´t and you are interested about it, you can check it here.
There are many things you can do with linocut and other printmaking techniques. Today I want to share with you this piece which was quite fun to make.
I prepared some interesting shapes and patterns or small pictures inside of them. I was a bit inspired by Asian art.
I had to make lots of copies in many shades, because I wanted to create a color transition.
I used decorative scissors to cut the small pieces. I had to measure and draw a grid for colorful rectangles. They were also in transition.
After I could stick the pictures on the rectangles in exact color shades. I enjoyed choosing and organizing them.
And this is the wole work. It is on a paper A1.
I made also a smaller version:
Thanks for watching!

Thanks -- this made me realize that I can linocut various abstract shapes and then mix the prints, collage style, to create various shapes and combinations. Thanks again for the inspiration!
