Stand Firm - snowboard design: koi fish for my friend, a snowboard rider, nicknamed Fish.

Today's post is about a snowboard that i designed for a friend of mine, a snowboard rider, nicknamed Fish.
The story is like this:
some time ago i have came up with a brand, named #StandFirm #angelsarehere - will have s post for this story allone :)
So i started drawing on snowboards, thinking that i will find people interested in a design of mine, hand drawing, on their snowboards - din't happen, another story.
My friend Fish, gave me his snowboard in order for me draw to whatever i what on it...and i did this:
...adn it all started from the idea that i will draw a KOI FISH - coming from my friend's nickname Fish - in some stormy waters. I also had to think about integrating my STAND FIRM design. So i had a sketch, with the elements that i had (my friend was in Japan at that time, so i added a japanese boat)
After several sketches, i have finally came up with a composition that i was satisfied with, I've made a plan on how i will work on it and - after i had previously painted the snowboard with black - i started drawing.
Here are some drawing stages:
After finishing the drawing, i did the coating in a special environment (a painting cabin, using a special product that i have found, to be resistant to shock and temperature bellow 30 degrees) and i went to Brasov (the city where my friend lives, near the slopes city) and i gave him as a present, in the day that i have made my launch for the new brand - this will be a story with videos, me drawing in a winter store...
I was really glad that he liked his present and that i have done something that i am proud of:
I hope you like what you see here and on my intro post, and that you will upvote my posts, maybe choose what would you like to see from me the next time (you choose between painting/drawing/walls/design...so on)
All the love from Romania!
