Bridges of St. Petersburg. Mogilev bridge.

in #art7 years ago

Mogilev Bridge is located along the axis of Lermontov Avenue, which crosses the Griboedov Canal. From 1859 to 1912, the site of the current Lermontov Avenue between the Griboedov Canal and the Fontanka River was called Mogilev Street.
In 1911-1912 a wooden three-span bridge was erected at this place, connecting the then Mogilevskaya Street and the Bolshoi Workshop street.

During the Great Patriotic War in 1941, the bridge was destroyed when a bomb dropped by German aircraft hit the bridge. Now the existing Mogilev Bridge was built in 1951 - 1953 on the site of the destroyed. The authors of the bridge construction project were architect Krasikov and engineer Blazevic.

A history already written for the Mogilev Bridge is located along the axis of Lermontov Avenue, which crosses the Griboedov Canal. From 1859 to 1912, the current location of the Lermontov Avenue between the Griboedov Channel and the Fontanka River is called Mogilev Street. It has a long journey full of extraordinary struggles. In 1911-1912 a three-limb bridge was erected in this place, connecting Mogilevskaya Street later and the Bolshoi workshop. The battle that occurred earlier has left something very meaningful to the people. A trip that has a very extraordinary meaning.

Have your journey always in happiness

We Win together

I truly believe that building bridges, not building walls and not giving into fear, will make our communities better.

all of them are so very beautiful..

Magnificent!
