Let's return to the embankment of the Fontanka River. There on the opposite bank of the St. Petersburg State Circus is the functioning Orthodox Church of Simeon and Anna. The church was built by the same Russian architect who built the Transfiguration Cathedral by Mikhail Zemtsov in 1731 - 1734 by the decree of Empress Anna Ioannovna.

In 1869-1872, the church was expanded and updated by the architect Georgy Wintergalter. In 1938 the church was closed, and church property was looted. In the 1950s it was restored and restored. In 1991, the church was returned to the faithful.

Thank you for your time and attention. See you on the streets of St. Petersburg.
