A Digital photo-manipulation and painting of the world famous Albert Dock in Liverpool UK. The dock opened in 1846 and was the first building in the UK to be constructed with cast iron, brick, and stone, with no wooden frame. This made the building very resistant to fires, making it a popular store for valuable cargoes of that time such as brandy, cotton, tea, silk, and tobacco. This was originally a digital photograph, that was edited using software. Textures and digital brushes to create a digital printed copy, on to the canvas. The image was then painted over to give farther detail and effect to create the final outcome. The idea behind this image was to combine modern computer editing techniques with traditional methods.
