This took awhile to produce:
Just eye candy.
No hidden meaning.
A blank digital canvas. That's how it all started.
I place an all white layer behind a transparent layer, so I can see things better.
I apply color, then smear it around. I don't care where it goes or how it looks because that's only the first layer and most of it will get covered up.
Once I'm happy with the base layer, I add another transparent layer on top and remove the all white bottom layer because it's no longer needed. I then do much of the same stuff I did with the first transparent layer. Nothing matters, I keep my mind clear, listen to music, and smear colors around; just like you would with a paint brush. That second layer won't matter much either because most of it will be covered up, eventually.
Layers are important in digital art. It's much like putting a sheet of glass down, painting on it, then placing a sheet of glass on top of the first sheet of glass, and then painting on it. The paint on the top layer cannot blend with or affect the colors on the bottom layer; until I merge them together, which is something you can't do with glass unless you're some kind of mystical wizard who lives in the bush somewhere. Since the layers are like glass, one can see all the way down to the bottom, provided the paint on the higher layers doesn't completely block the view.
So anyway.
More layers, more smearing.
It goes on like that for a long time; but I typically lose track of time. Sometimes thirty songs will play from my playlist before I even notice I haven't been blinking my eyes. Zoned right out. Adding layers and smearing colors.
Then, finally, after however many days I've been locked inside of my house painting layers most people don't see, the real base is complete.
If you look closely, you can see some of the older layers. I get something like a marble effect going. This one isn't as marbly as some of my previous works of a similar style; but it's there.
Airbrush time.
It's just like spray painting a railcar but without the mess, and police.
Now I want to look for lines. I want to bring out certain areas, and darken or push down other areas. Without that subtle shading technique, the image would appear flat and boring. If your mind senses a three dimensional effect happening there, just know it's all an illusion. Some of that swirly goodness would not be there had I not put a little bit of black here, and a little bit of something lighter, there.
Yeah
Boring
I can hear you snoring. That's why I typically produce an image and then say nothing about how it came to be. I'll show off the end result, then write about something else.
An image like the one above I'd say for me, was simple, but time consuming. Some of my other work is incredibly complex, and time consuming. Other images have crazy meanings I never reveal. Some mess with your mind and offer up visions of things that aren't really there. Some images have hidden messages encoded within and I doubt anyone will ever figure out what I've been saying all these years, in silence; and I'll typically place those secrets in the places where you'd least expect them.
Nothing like that here though. Nope. It's just eye candy.
In the spirit of open sourceness and day drunk Monday's I tweaked your image. Please flag if u feel some type of way... I'm in an odd mood and have proclivities to bastardize things with mach8ne beasts

Just have to ask for permission to use it outside of my blog if you intend to make money. One time someone did a post, took my images, placed them inside of a virtual gallery. I was so pissed. Some of them were sideways, cropped, upside down. Didn't even contact me to give a written interview. Had like 100 followers, so it was pointless as a promotion. Man... some people...
Ya no I'd never attempt anything such as that. Just liked your swirls and felt like fookin around and simply using it as a commentary.
Some people indeed

I remember how pissed you were.
Me and my moments....
My untrained eyes quite like this too.
Thx my eyes are far from trained but brain is well brained..

😁
Not boring, fascinating.
You think so? Maybe boring to me because I've done it a million times.
I have stayed away from producing digital art because the colour systems, even the primary colours, are different than for pigments. Pigments are intuitive for me. Mixing coloured light isn't. Anyway, I thought the layering approach was interesting.
The layering takes time but it still speeds things up. I could produce the same image on one layer using my spray paint tool and something to blend and mix things together but it would be a pain the ass, because I'd be doing much of the same, but with the spray paint instead of the layers. One thing I don't like about the colors is the fact it probably looks slightly different on your screen than mine. That happens with physical art as well, with room lighting.
It looks slightly different on each monitor but it is possible to colour calibrate them.
that can make a nice phone wallpaper to be honest :)
and also...am here due to the tag mind-fuck, now thats a good one - grins
Yes, it's no lie. I've been know to improve the look of phones worldwide for a couple years now. That's a great place to put something like that, then people look, and you become popular because you can say, "Oh yeah I talked to the artist. Cool guy."
Hmmmm now curious mind wants to know, the real face behind. A fellow Canadian that is a known artist...hmmmm I wonder who. Are you in Quebec? Please say Northeast BC, so we can be neighbors, and I then can truly say, hey, I know THIS artist 😉
I come from the middle of nowhere and I move around a lot.
Beautiful with a satisfying texture. What kind of music do you listen to while smearing those colors around?
To be honest, I'm all over the place when it comes to music. It easier to say I don't really like the popular country music, and most of the rest of these sounds are great.
Pointless is as pointless does...or something lol!
It truly is eye candy, your color combos always make me freaking happy :)
My point was late for its appointment.
It is kinda happy, isn't it. Can't always paint blood, monsters, shadow people, screams.
I feel like this one is watching me back
It blindly observes vision by absorption.
Like... infrared?
I don't know. I'm not a scientist.
I like this one.
Real candy.
It's good to know someone out there likes it. Mission complete. That's all that ever matters. Thank you.
Swirly goodness.
I appreciate a little process description, but no need to do provide this often - I'll remember for the next time at least.
Just got done reading the last post, glad I visited that one first as this image has calmed me a little. Fucking blacklists though.
Yeah, I might do a process type post once every quarter, if that. Saying less, is more. Folks ask questions from time to time, which helps boost engagement, when I say less. Tough to have a conversation if I've already given all the answers.
That previous post is something I hope I don't have to bring up again. Working on this piece throughout the day helped take my mind off of those problems. So easy to want to give up if I fall into the trap of spending too much thought time on bad vibes.
That all makes sense. I spent a fair amount of my earlier days arguing, and it was all for nothing and just angered me.
You do you, Taraz tells me, and so I shall.
I'm still a nutcase and need to calm down. Most people here don't see the side of me that's just chillin somewhere with a beer, chair, music, sunlight. Sometimes, because I'm naturally unfiltered and outspoken, I think I scare people... LOL!
Boo!
That's how I pictured you. You have a troll that used to frequent your blogs regularly and the patience/courtesy you extended them was inspiring. I would have quickly ignored them and let them rant to blind eyes.
Nice pic. My first thought was they (the different colors) looked like soft sheets one would want to own. Please don't dispel my vision and tell me what it really is. Soft, cool, colorful sheets is one of life's treasures, and should never be trifled with.
You must have seen me on one of my good days. Sometimes I'll get right in there and give it back; and actually have fun doing it. LOL!
Usually I prefer to hear everyone's individual interpretations of the art rather than giving a concrete description. It's always interesting.
Nice piece of work. Also I was not aware of how much work goes into something like that.

It's always a journey. Everyone here sees the destination; the finished product. For me, this blog is more than a full time job. Someone once gave me shit for earning $20 on a post. Said, "$20 for a few sentences?!? That's B.S." That day I was sitting here thinking, "I almost made $2 per hour on this post." It's not a photograph. Can't simply snap it, crop it, and upload it. I do this because I enjoy it though. It takes a lot of time, so what, it's better than drinking.

Hi there! Was this an automated message sent by a robot or are you real, and actually VIEWING my work?
I am real lol, i manually post the same message to artworks derserving of reward. I dont use bots.
Okay, cool! And good, because I'm not in one of my better moods today and would have tore a strip out of your ass if you just came here to advertise. Speaking of which, when I have a moment, I'll check in to what you're up to, do a little bit of a background check. If I like what I see, I'll contact you and maybe offer a banner slot on my blog for advertising purposes, if the price is right.
Im trying to build a art community, i need to sell tokens to pay devs to build the website, so currently i cant afford advertising. Your get mire detail reading the whitepaper, this isnt a quick money grab.

I appreciate the colors and mystery of the art. Any more art candy lying around? I am hungry.
Try licking your screen.
funny!
I wasn't joking.
When coflicting moods and feeling
like anger, frustration, tranquility, and joy
compete to take over the mind
confusion is the only state you find.
Story of my life.
