Thanks Man!
Surely can state it's worth having a go at.
The first few layers I applied using palet knives. In a later stage I also used brushes. Especially for the Celtic Knot. It's fun to find out along the way how it all blends in together.
Another work I kind of messed up though, for now. But I'll just paint another layer on top. Works fine that way with Acrylic paint.
Not exactly like [CTRL][Z] but at least I do not have to completely start all over again. 🫣
It's all that layering that I find fascinating. The missus got me an acrylic set for Xmas a couple of years ago and to my shame I still haven't got around to it!
It's fun to experiment with.
Acrylic paint dries quite fast, especially compared to oil paint. So you can apply different layers reasonably fast one after another.
And what I personally like most about it is that I can paint things that cannot be photographed.
And it sure is a nice gift that she gave you! I'd say: Go for it! And keep us posted!

I will defo do it. Hopefully the paints haven't all dried and cracked!!
One thing I experienced with Acrylic is that it does not easily dry and crack up. If the lit is on the tube, or if it has not been opened yet.
So I think you're good there. 😎🤞
