I absolutely love Lake Superior. I go camping up near pictured rocks just a bit east of Munising. We like to eat shrooms and hike along the lake and camp out there. Good times
My parents have a cottage/cabin/camp up near Pancake Bay north of the Sault. We built a Teepee there and spend a few weeks in July and August living off the grid .... We Love it there. My favourite place on earth.... as soon as I have enough Manna Universal Basic Income we will move there for good....
Looks very nice. I really like going up to the UP but it's a bit of a hike from Chicago. I havn't spent much time in Northern Michigan, I heard about a Lake called Torch Lake which is only about 3 maybe 4 hours max from Chicago. AirBNB and stuff seem pretty affordable and supposedly its the 3rd most beautiful lake in the world, turqoise waters looks just like the caribbean. Definitely gonna try to make it there this summer

Ive never been in the middle of summer, does the water ever actually get comfortably warm or is it always cold?
Gets to about 80 f in August.... in some of the Bays....
