Ode to the Zebra
A Sonnet
by pawngrabberpat
My sharp zebra, you inspire me to write.
I hate the way you bounce, paddle and fly,
Invading my mind day and through the night,
Always dreaming about the loathsome fry.
Let me compare you to a pretender?
You are more vernal, comical and spruce.
Loose fogs hide the oceans of November,
And autumntime has the pineapple juice.
How do I hate you? Let me count the ways.
I hate your abstruse eyes, thumb and elbows.
Thinking of your obtuse thumb fills my days.
My hate for you is the nocturnal toes.
Now I must away with a funny heart,
Remember my smart words whilst we
I love. is very inspiration
